Dashwood studio cotton fabric - Beige Advent calendar x 60cm

How to make my advent Calendar ? 

Materials needed :

- 1 Panel of Dashwood Studio Advent calendar Fabric (60cm)

- 50 cm of coordinating back fabric,

- 50 cm of Vlieseline P120 voluminous wadding 

Optional: Bias, cords or eyelets to hang the advent calendar.

Instructions : 

1. Cut out the back panel following the outer edge of the seam allowance. 

2. Cut the pocket strips around the outer edge of the seam allowance.

3. Press over the seam allowance on the top edge od each pocket strip and stitch.

4. Make a box pleat between each pocket by bringing the sides together to meet the dotted centerline.

5. Press and tack the side and bottom seam allowances on each pocket strip.

6. Pin each pocket strip to the back panel and take in place.

7. Stitch the pocket strip onto the back panel. 

8. Layer the panel wadding to give somebody and choose a co-ordinating Christmas pattern to the back the panel with. Quilt the panel as desired.

9. Make loops or a sleeve along the top edge of the panel to hang the finished calendar.
