What is double cotton gauze?

Cotton gauze is an extremely lightweight fabric, characterized by a weaving of cotton yarn quite apart. Double gauze is simply a fabric made up of two layers of gauze, tied together at regular intervals, with little undetectable spots on the fabric. Double gauze is much less transparent than simple gauze.
