What is corozo?

Corozo is a natural material that comes from South American palm trees. It is a small and round fruit that is let dry and then changed into a paste. It is very similar to a hard resin and now considered as an ecological alternative to plastic. It is used to make juices and beverages as well as medicine. Durable and naturally harvested, this vegetal ivory is often used to make sewing buttons.
