Métis and cotton canvas fabric washing tips:

All the cotton or mixed fabrics from Les Toiles de la Montagne Noire shrink by 8 to 10% during the first wash. We advise you before use to soak your canvas overnight in cold water: without detergent and without spinning. It is very important not to use a spin during the first wash to avoid breaking the fibers. This operation will allow your fabric to find its right size. So, during your next wash, you will not have any bad surprises about the size of your curtain or cushion.

About the Toiles de la Montagne Noire:

Les Toiles de la Montagne Noire is specialized in fabrics and home products: table linen, bathroom linen and many other products made in France, in the Tarn area. It offers different categories of fabric: classic, rustic, and yarn dyed with different patterns, either in mixed (linen and cotton) and/or in cotton. The fibers are natural, without any chemical treatment. Therefore, for colored yarns, they come from a factory-certified "Ecolife Yarns". This means that this plant limits its environmental impact as much as possible, particularly through the use of renewable energy. Les Toiles de la Montagne Noire is part of a process to protect local jobs with 100% Tarn production. Indeed, the products are created, made and woven in the Tarn since the weavers and seamstresses are located in the department.
