About Ottobre

Started as a studio of styling by a single woman in 1987, today Studio Tuumat Oy is a publishing company present on the international market. During its early years, the company provides styling and patronage services to the Finnish textile industry and designs its own collection of children's clothing, colourful and close to nature.

The first OTTOBRE design® kids magazine, specialized in children's sewing patterns, was published in 2000. OTTOBRE femme®, a biannual women's pattern magazine, was launched in 2006 and in November 2017 the offer is enlarged with sewing patterns for the whole family including men.

Realizing a project by hand is a source of balance in our contemporary lifestyle, centred around technology, and a movement advocating the pleasure of creating oneself still thrives.
