Wrap-Over Top Sewing Pattern - Cozy Little World Alma

✂ DESCRIPTION:

Alma is a wrap-over blouse tied at the waist, very easy to wear for everyday or occasional use. 6 sleeve options are available to create blouses in a wide variety of styles:

  • Variation A: very airy butterfly sleeve, kimono spirit.
  • Variation B: long sleeve with gathered head, gathered at the wrist by an elastic band for a "froufrou" look.
  • Variation C: short sleeve with gathered head
  • Variation D: short puffed sleeve with gathered head, tightened at the biceps with an elastic band for a "frilly" look.
  • Variation E: short puffed sleeve with gathered head, with buttoned sleeve strap
  • Variation F: shirred head puffed sleeve with non-buttoned sleeve strap, 3/4 length

Paper sewing pattern (pocket) which contains:

  • A real-size sewing pattern
  • A detailed explanation booklet

✂ FABRIC TIPS, NEEDED FABRIC & SUPPLIES:

A fabric without elasticity of light weight: viscose crepe, silk crepe, Tencel, light cotton (English embroidery, cotton voile, embroidered cotton, chambray), silk chiffon (to play on transparency).

Note that the stiffer your fabric is, the more voluminous the gathered sleeve head will be. Conversely, a flowing fabric will enhance the butterfly sleeves of variation A.

  • Buttons : 4 or 6 (according to their size) for variation E
  • A reel of elastic yarn for variations B et D
  • Iron-on hot-melt canvas interfacing : 45 x 25 cm
